About Us

13 years ago I pursued my life-long dream and gained my Private Pilots Licence. Since then, a lot of water has flowed under the bridge. I have changed careers, become a Commercial Pilot and Grade One (GA) Instructor and work in the industry full time. Along the way I attained a Night VFR rating, Tailwheel Endorsement and Command Multi Engine Instrument Rating. To round it off, I am currently the Chief Flying Instructor of the Smartair RAAus Flying School.

Recently I was introduced to Aeroprakt Aircraft and was impressed by the aircrafts Short Take Off and Landing (STOL) capabilities along with the sturdy metal airframe, tricycle landing gear, high-wing configuration, two side-by-side seats and advanced avionics options. Foxbat Australia state that the A22LS Foxbat is currently the mainstay of the Aeroprakt fleet, with over 200 flying in Australia.

The slow speed flight handling characteristics are safe and positive right down to speeds as low as 35 knots. It has a massive cabin that ensures a comfortable and roomy flight every time and is also capable of carrying an impressive load – typically 200-210kgs of people and baggage, even after adding a full 114 litres of fuel. On top of all that, the view out is almost as good as that of a helicopter leading to a beautiful flight every single time.

So … I went and bought one!

I consider myself to be very privileged as I get to fly many different brands and types of aircraft on a day by day basis – Cessna, Mooney, Piper, Vans, De Havilland, Technam and now Aeroprakt.

You will enjoy Foxbat 24-8344 … without a “word of a lie” the Foxbat A22LS guarantees a smile every time!
